I’ve been offering comprehensive and affordable private lessons for more than 25 years. My job is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From day one I offer a solid foundation to becoming a great Pianist. I encourage each student to reach their potential and adapt my lessons to each individual. My own Piano Works are published by Red Admiral Records with two Albums of short piano pieces and had a successful run in Edinburgh with a musical I wrote which was also shown in London's West End. I was runner up in the UK Songwriting Contest with my Song 'Messin' and have other pop songs which were also published. I continue to write music and love discovering other talented writers and song writers and helping them achieve their goals.

VERY PATIENT AND ENCOURAGING TEACHER
Piano lessons should be fun and exciting. I teach all levels of Piano from Beginner to Grade 8 and beyond and have great success with ABRSM examination results. Also Music Theory and Music Theory Examinations. I have a lot of patience with Beginners and offer a gentle introduction to Piano playing whilst ensuring a solid foundation course.
Many of my students have special learning needs or disabilities, such as visual impairment.
I have an up-to-date Advanced DBS Certificate.
COMPOSING
BE IT WRITING A PIECE OF PIANO MUSIC, A SONG OR A WHOLE MUSICAL!
I actively encourage my students to have a go at Composing if they show an interest as it is a great way to express yourself using the Piano. As a published Composer of Piano music and some Pop songs I feel qualified to offer advice and assistance and to help artists to find an outlet for their original work.

Having taught both Children and Adults for over 25 years now I am able to adapt my lessons to individuals needs, including students with disabilities. I not only have the patience for it but enjoy teaching any level and watching my students grow in confidence. Even five minutes practice per day for a beginner will reap great results so you don't have to feel overwhelmed when you start. Piano should be fun and I endeavour to make lessons engaging and fun.
